2016 Design Trends include washed finishes, structural finishing, coastal cottage design and a return to ultra feminine looksEvery once in awhile our industry takes an about face.  It appears that 2016 is one of those years.  The design trends for kids’ rooms are super strong and really drastic shift from the past few years.  Everything feels new and fresh and there are lots of great options for just about anyone’s taste.  The largest trends are in finishes (washed and beautiful grain revealing stains), structural finishing techniques, Coastal Cottage designs, and a return to the ultra feminine and soft looks of yesteryear. rainbow-saturdayAs we approach the ubiquitous annual sales event in the United States, Black Friday, it brings to mind that an outsider might view the entire thing somewhat differently than how Americans perceive it.  Apparently they do.  ‘Black Friday” is definitively an American Cultural event that, for those of us born and breed in the states, is a exuberant and exciting kick off to the holiday season.  All of a sudden the world (or at least the shopping venues) are filled with energy and songs and deals and smells and people all rushing around.  It is chaos and WE LOVE IT.  However, for non US citizens it is a bit of an anomaly and until recently unheard of in the rest of the world.

Sales Tax Holiday 2015

SALES-TAX-HOLIDAY-2015-MAINBack to School Sales Tax Holiday 2015

For the past dozen or so years the States of South Carolina and North Carolina have had a ‘back to school’ sales tax holiday.  Every year multiple items necessary for school including supplies, computers, clothing and the like have been offered up “tax-free” for one weekend in August.  Last year the state of North Carolina discontinued this practice, but South Carolina is still going strong on this great shopping weekend.  Although Furniture and Accessories and Gear at our store is not exempt, our stores will be offering a discount equal to the sales tax incurred so you essentially will not have to pay it for this one weekend – AUGUST 7th-9th.

THE RULES

  • All sales must be paid in full this weekend. 8/7/2015 – 8/9/2015.

  • Any previous sale must be re-written to current pricing and promotions prior to adding the SalesTax discount and paid in full.

  • All CURRENT promotions and sales will be honored in addition to the SalesTax discount.

  • ALL clearance and closeout packages can be included in the SalesTax discount.
